Why you should stop eating
As I write this I am four days into a fast.
The first two days were water only and then I started eating some red grapes for the last two days. I intend to fast for 7 days eating only red grapes and drinking only water.

Why am I doing this, why would anybody do this?
The all-natural cure-all
All animals, apart from man, stop eating when they get ill.
Fasting is the oldest healing method known, not just to man but to all animals.
Animals, and wise men recognise that eating food several times a day requires a lot of resources in digesting that food, breaking it down into its component parts and using those parts for fuel or to rebuild the body.
As soon as you stop eating completely for at least 24 hours, or focus on eating only one, easily digestible thing, then several things start to happen:
- Your body stops digestion and uses the large resources digestion takes up in other ways.
- Enzymes that are normally involved in food processing circulate into the bloodstream and intestines and start hoovering up all kinds of waste matter.
- All organs and glands get a much needed rest and get purified and their functions regulated and the blood itself gets cleaned and purified.
- This cleaner blood enters the brain and brings on a feeling of deep peace and calm.

The range of illnesses and ailments that are helped by fasting is almost endless.
Due to the deep clean your body gets when fasting virtually any and all kinds of ailments can fade away, or at least improve significantly.
Here is a partial list.
- fasting will help you lose weight (obviously)
- it will help you sleep better and wake up feeling refreshed
- it will improve your skin and make you look younger
- it will help alleviate virtually all digestive problems
- it clears the mind and helps you focus better
- fasting helps maintain a steady level of energy throughout the day
- it is wonderful for drug detoxification
- increases your resistance to diseases
- helps with any existing conditions from allergies to asthma to artiritis
- fasting helps you live longer (and is the only thing proven to do so)
So before you reach for the bottle of pills why not consider stopping eating for a few days to rebalance your body and restore your health?
Remember that it takes 2-3 days for your body to realise that no more food is coming in then it will switch to a detox mode and start cleaning out your tissues. You will feel sweaty, cold, maybe nauseous and have other ill effects. All of these are by products of the cleaning out of the toxins your body is going through. Stick with it to reap the benefits afterwards.
You don’t get this deep detox from so-called intermittent fasting, only from a proper fast of at least 3 days. Your body can survive weeks without food so a few days is nothing at all and very beneficial to your physical and mental health.
