What tai chi practice can do for you

Tai Chi is the exercise that teaches you how to relax. And the more relaxed you are the more resilience you have to stress.

As you may already know tai chi is one of the world’s most popular systems for overall health and fitness. It’s also great fun to learn. So isn’t it time you gave it a try?

Tai Chi combines slow, mindful, aligned movement with a powerful breath. It develops a very relaxed yet powerful posture, strong legs, mobile joints and a calm, focused mind.

We teach the traditional Yang style (37 step) tai chi form alongside traditional qigong and daoyin practices from the Jade Dragon tradition that date back over 600 years. You will learn how to train your mind, body and breath to really improve your health and your life. Many of the skills and practices we teach are rare but very powerful.

All our classes are taught by Master Paul Chapman who is one of the most experienced teachers in the UK. He started traditional tai chi and kung fu training in 1986 and has been teaching since 1998.

Just wear comfortable clothes and either flat soled shoes or do it in socks. No need for mats or any special equipment.

Kung Fu

We are one of the very few schools in the country that teach real, authentic kung fu and teach you how to use every element of it. Our classes include fully functional forms and how to use them in sparring skills with resisting opponents. We are proud of our syllabus which is one of the most comprehensive in the country.
Because of this places in our school are sought after. So we only accept new members at certain times of the year. Please contact the school using the information below if you wish to join. Our classes are held in Reading, Berkshire.
