All aspects of Daoist meditation, particularly from the Jade Dragon tradition aim to create harmony within the individual and between the individual and his environment.

The most important aspect of meditation, at least to start with, is training the concentration. Most people's mind leaps from one subject to another, unable to stay in one place for very long. This causes internal restlessness, sleeping problems and emotional instability. From a martial arts perspective it prevents you from using your energy fully or realising your body's full potential and so limits how powerful your skills will be. By being able to maintain focus on what you're doing you will become more effective in everything you do.

Once you have gained focus and can maintain single point and universal awareness then you can use this new-found power of your mind to explore the spiritual aspects of the Jade Path - the sought after eighth level. Following the path will open up whole new perspectives on your life and the world around you. Life may never be the same again!
